We have passed the merry month of May and have entered June. May is always exciting for me. Life has returned and is in full swing. We have had gardening workshops and ours is doing great. I’ve been trying to get raised beds built and gardens enclosed (because of the deer and the woodchucks). I set up several new bee hives and took 3 of them out to a blueberry farm for pollination purposes. Do you realize how much of our food supply depends on these tiny insects? We are blessed by our Heavenly Father for these little creatures. And on top of it you should taste the honey! Wow! Maybe we will have some to sell this year?! I was also pretty excited about having broccoli already making heads and tomatoes in blossom. Then June came and with it the woodchucks. I guess they were are looking for something new and found a way into the garden. It only took a day to clean out the broccoli and cabbage! We live by the sweat of our brow. Well June is also the month of weddings. Becky and I will be celebrating 39 years this year. One of our classes is from a book called ‘Supernatural Ways of Royalty‘. The chapters for the class tonight got me to contemplating weddings, marriages, and healing. I’ve seen in my own life, from work in social work and with many other’s lives how much of the pain we experience comes from the family. The very place where we should experience the love God intended, becomes the place where the enemy deals out the most destruction. Destruction is the most effective in that context. It can keep us in bondage for years. And that bondage keeps us from walking into the fullness of the inheritance God intended. One might be inclined to ask ‘then why doesn’t God do something about it’? Well that is the good news, He did! He sent Jesus to bring us redemption from the power of sin and healing for the effects of sin. Galatians 5: 1 says “it is for Freedom that Christ set us free”! Wow! That is what we all want – freedom, wholeness, and healing. Blessings to you each on this day and this month.
