Harbor Shalom/Doyle and Becky, are headed to Bugiri District in Uganda, Africa November 30 this year. They have been invited to be part of a team to minister at an annual House of Healing Family Conference from December 4-7, and do outreach to the Shalom Orphanage and it’s host village December 8-11, 2019.
We are humbled to have been invited to share the teachings on generational sins and curses written up in our book, Birthright of Freedom. Inner healing and deliverance, and dealing with domestic violence are other topics that will be part of the conference.
Since this conference originates from a village church, each team member has needed to raise all the funds needed to meet costs. God is so faithful in that to which He calls us! To date, we are blessed to have raised airfares, Visa costs, and immunization expenses. What remains are the housing and travel costs for the actual time in Uganda.
If God puts it in your hearts to sow financially into this venture, donations can be made directly or through our the donate page here on our website. Additionally, you can email us at HarborShalom4U@myfastmail.com or call 860.318.1401 for more information.
Light of Hope Ministries in New Britain has also initiated a campaign to raise money for immediate needs for the Shalom Orphanage — a vehicle, school supplies, clothing, etc., and a long-range plan for expansion of the facility with solar electricity and running water. Details of this aspect of the trip can be found at www.LOHministriesnb.org under Love 4 Orphans.
Beyond the expenses though, we earnestly covet the prayers of our faith family as we prepare spiritually. The whole focus of the conference confronts the darkness in their culture. With freedom and empowerment there will come resistance for the local believers as well as us temporary presenters. Pray that God makes us bold and courageous to speak all He desires to release to these precious people. Pray for the message to go forth in truth, with clarity, and with power. Pray that humility will clothe us for every interaction with each person so that the heart of God flows unhindered. Pray that gratitude in our hearts compels lavish generosity in thoughts, words, and deeds everywhere we go so that Christ Jesus is honored in every way. And pray that the shalom of God, which is powerful to destroy the authority that binds us to the chaos of sin and darkness, goes before us, surrounds, fills, and follows after us.
